Henry Garfield Holland, 85, of Muskogee was born May 19, 1940 in Cherokee County, to Walter Lee and Alice Pearl (Hutchings) Holland and joined his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 in Muskogee.

Henry grew up and attended school in Cherokee County. He enlisted in the United States Army, June 15, 1959 in Oklahoma City and was honorably discharged on May 22, 1962 in Muskogee. He proudly served overseas and received the Good Conduct Medal and American Campaign Medal while serving as a USATC Engineer. Henry married his best friend on September 9, 1962 in Haskell, OK, a marriage that stood the test of time of 63 years, two months and 16 days. Henry started a long and distinguished career in banking. He held the position of Loan Officer for Phoenix Federal for 18 years before his retirement in 2001. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed time spent with his family. He was a member of the Chandler Road Assembly Church in Muskogee for many years, serving on various committees. He will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Shirley Stone, Nadine Stevens, and Geraldine Leep.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Norma of the home; son, Rodney (Rowdy) Holland and wife Ondrea of Coweta, OK; daughter, Pam Holland of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Matthew Holland and wife Kristi of Broken Arrow, OK and Brooke Barrett of Muskogee, OK; great grandchildren, Blakely and Asher Holland of Broken Arrow, OK; brother, Dennis Holland of Muskogee, OK; extended family and many friends.

Henry's celebration of life will be 1:00PM Monday, December 1, 2025 at Chandler Road Assembly in Muskogee with Pastor Daryl Brown officiating and Henry's granddaughter, Brooke Barrett eulogizing.

Committal prayers and interment will follow at 2:30PM in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with full military honors being observed.
