Henry "Buddy" was born in Danville, VA. He moved to Norfolk and then onto Newport News as a child with his parents and sister Peggy. Buddy had a newspaper route when he was young and also worked at the local pharmacy as a delivery boy. His father Henry Marshall Jefferson II died when Buddy was only 16 yrs old so his earnings from then on went to help his mother pay the household bills.
Buddy worked for many years at Newport News Shipbuilding as a pipe fitter. He went on to become a Nuclear Quality Assurance Inspector and Supervisor. He moved to Idaho Falls, ID where he worked for Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corp as a Quality Assurance Engineer. There he lived for 35 years before moving with his wife Lori to West Columbia, SC for 9 years and then back home to Virginia in 2023.
Buddy met his wife Lori on an airplane Oct 5, 1998. They were married in Idaho Falls on July 15, 2000. Later to be sealed for Eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife Lori, a blended family of 5 adult children,15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a 2nd great grandchild due this August, his sister Peggy Cash living in Suffolk, VA and 2 nieces.
To my "Buddy Honey" we love and miss you dearly. Until we meet again! To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Henry, please visit our floral store.
