Henry Sonny Olvera III unexpectedly departed from this world on December 14, 2024 just 5 days shy of his 44th birthday. He joins his father Henry Timothy Olvera Jr., his grandparents Lorenzo & Socorro Lopez, and Henry & Dorothy Olvera of whom he missed deeply & spoke of often.

Sonny was born & raised in Sacramento, CA and grew up with the love of music. Not a day went by in his life without playing music, dancing, or singing karaoke with family or friends. He also played, coached, & umpired baseball and softball for the youth and adults.

Sonny was a member of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians. He loved attending many cultural events. He also enjoyed working on cars, owned his own tow company along with his wife, & did testing and servicing on gas stations.

Sonny was known for his exuberant sense of humor, love for playing pranks on people, & contagious laughter and smile. He was a family entertainer, loved to travel, & gave his time in a charitable and loving way. He will be dearly missed as he made a lasting impression in hearts of many friends and family.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Rosie Olvera, son Henry Santiego Olvera IV, grandson Enrique Santiago Olvera V, mother Laura Olvera, sisters & brother-in-laws Tristana (Raymond) Dela Rosa, Lanissa (Kenneth Taylor) Olvera, Kayla (Carlo Serusa) Olvera Hilario, 3 nieces, & 13 nephews.
