Henry Earl Ranson was born on July 11, 1951, in Terry, MS to the late Odell Ransom Sr. and Martha Mae (Magee) Ransom. He was the sixth of ten children, and was affectionately known as Puddin amongst his family and friends. At a young age, Henry was baptized and began a life grounded in faith and family. He completed middle school and then entered the work force, holding a variety of labor jobs throughout his life.

In the 1970s. Henry relocated to St. Paul Minnesota where he met and later married the late Cordie Lee Dodd. Henry had a lively spirit and enjoyed playing hambone, fishing, dancing, spending time with friends and family, and talking smack to anyone willing to listen. Henry departed this life on Sunday September 14, 2025.

He was preceded in death by both Parents Odell Ransom Sr. and Marha Mae Ransom; Wife Cordie Ranson; Great-Grandson Kaleb Wade; and Siblings, Almeta, Sammie Lee (S.L.), Willie Lee (Dub), Johnnie Albert, Larry, Michael, Donald, and Lawrence.
