Henry "H.L." Sharpe Jr.

Henry Sharpe, Jr. "H.L.", was born May 2, 1934, in Mobile, AL, to the union of Henry and Gertrude Sharpe.

H.L. graduated from Mobile County Training School with the Class of 1951.  H.L. loved playing cards, listening to all types of music, and was a self-taught computer geek.  He was a long-time employee of Scott Paper Company, retiring after 26 years.  In his post-retirement years, he maintained computers for McIntosh Elementary School, along with repairing and updating computers for neighbors, friends and family.  H.L. never met a dog he didn't like.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Sharpe, father, Henry Sharpe, Sr., brother, William "Bobby" Sharpe.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Mrs. Mary B. Sharpe; two children, Catria Sharpe (Smyrna, GA), and Kevin (Mone') Sharpe, (Fayetteville, GA); two sisters-in-law, Ruth Brooks and Gertrude Williams; two grandchildren, David (Kristen) Roberson and Alexandria (T.J.) Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Avery Roberson and David C. Roberson, a host of nieces, nephews and friends, and very devoted neighbors, Thelma and Stafford Jackson.

The first visitation will be held on Monday, July 8th from 3-6 p.m. The second visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9th from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour. All services will be held at B.E. Brown & Co. Mortuary, 5817 Grelot Road, Mobile, AL 36609.
