Henry L. "Harry" Shipman

I was saddened to learn of Dr. Shipman´s passing. He was my professor in a science class at the University of Delaware and I remember him vividly. His energy, optimism, and genuine excitement for science made a lasting impression on me.

One of my favorite memories was his Oobleck lesson-simple yet unforgettable. As someone who went on to become a elementary teacher and PAEMST awardee, I often think back on the instructors who lit that spark for me. Dr. Shipman was one of them.

I offer my sincerest condolences to his family, colleagues, and former students. His legacy lives on in all of us who were lucky enough to learn from him.
