Herb Weiss

Herbert J. Weiss, age 95, of Allen Park, Michigan passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. He was surrounded by loving family. He was born February15, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Erhard and Margaret Weiss.
Herbert is survived by his beloved wife, Joan, to whom he was married for 74 years, children Dale (Donna) Weiss, Joseph (Judy) Weiss, Karen (John Cross) Weiss, Susan (David) Zantop, Judy Weiss, Annette (Alessandro Testori) Weiss. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, who provided him with much joy. Herbert was the dear brother of Gerald (Jackie) Weiss and Linda (Chris) Stephanides.
Herbert was very active in the local community serving for many years as a Commissioner on the Allen Park Housing Commission. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Allen Park, Knights of Columbus All Saints Council, and Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church where he served as an usher, and helped with the Food pantry and St. Vincent de Paul. He also enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling and traveling.
Visitation and funeral service Friday, November 14, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 6442 Pelham Road, Taylor Michigan. Please share memories and/or leave condolences on Herbert's guestbook on his tribute wall.
