Herbert confessed his life to Christ at Brooks Chapel Church of God In Christ where he was a faithful member until his departure from his earthly home. He was a man of many talents and trades. A kind and loving man, a couple of his favorite things to do was landscaping and making others smile. Herbert was an active Deacon at his church, a faithful choir member and the church van driver.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters, Samantha Moore and Ayana Moore; two sisters, Dora York and Loise Burns; three brothers, James Earl Horton, Willie Lee York and Eddie York Jr. Herbert also leaves one granddaughter, E’amir Parram as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and beloved coworkers whom loved him dearly.A funeral service to celebrate the life of Herbert Beard, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Elder Eugene Anderson officiating with cremation to follow. The Beard family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
