Herbert Paul Chiasson

Herbert Paul Chiasson, age 90, a native and resident of Lockport, La passed away on October 27, 2025.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 9:00AM until funeral time at 11:00AM at The Little Church of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, La. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM in the church, followed by burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Geraldine Plaisance Chiasson; daughter, Rachel Champagne and husband Tilden of Lockport; sons, Ricky Chiasson and wife Sharon of Virginia and Carl Chiasson and wife Cheryl of Valentine; grandchildren, Jaime Barnes, Lucas Hebert, Corey Chiasson, Cavin Chiasson, and Taylor Chiasson; step-grandsons, Devin Champagne, Kyle Barnes, and Calvin Barnes; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Hebert, Jaiden Reimiller, Jordan Reimiller, Levy Barnes, Olivia Barnes, and Emma Linderman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Eve Chiasson; sisters, Ada C. Barrios and Ethel C. Galiano; brothers, Alex Chiasson and Tildon Chiasson.

Herbert was an automotive painter at Lockport Sales for 46 years. He was an Usher at Holy Savior Catholic Church for many years. He loved team bowling and fishing. In his later years, he enjoyed playing cards at VH Boudreaux Sr. Center and going to casinos.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Agape Hospice for all their help in the past two years. They would also like to thank his Eucharist minister and nephew Terry.
