When I was four years old, my folks fulfilled the dream of owning and building their first house. My Dad was working for Herb Sr. at the time. Although he was a bricklayer, they could not afford to build a brick house so settled for wood. One morning, when my dad drove it to the construction site of his new house a load of bricks we´re delivered compliments of Mr. Cook. My dad made payments to him until it was paid off and never missed a payment. When he finished paying him, all of the money was given back. This is the kind of family the cooks are. I labored (carried hod) for Herb and Roger Cook, and they were hard workers who inspired those around them to do the same. One is fortunate to meet a family like this once or twice in your lifetime. He is respected and will be missed.

We lost a legend with the passing of Herb... He always had a kind word to pass along and compassion for people in need.
