Herbert William Dallmeyer passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 and is now resting in Heaven.
He was born on May 2, 1944 in Burton, Tx. to Walter and Anita (Quebe) Dallmeyer. He was baptized June 18, 1944 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton. He also completed confirmation at this church on April 10, 1960. He was raised by his parents along with 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Herbert met Nina Bethke and they were united in marriage on January 20, 1973 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton, Tx. They were blessed with one son, Larry and daughter-in-law Kristi. Larry and Kristi Dallmeyer provided them with 3 wonderful grandchildren: Dylan, Derek and Mekenzie.
Herbert was employed by RR Donnelly for over 31 years. He enjoyed living in the rural area, particularly loved hunting and fishing. He also spent time on his tractor and working with his cattle.
Herbert is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother; mother and father-in-law, Johnnie and Helen Bethke; brother-in-law, Ray Bethke and two sons, Bradley Charles Dallmeyer and Mark William Dallmeyer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nina; son and daughter in law, Larry and Kristi Dallmeyer; grandchildren: Dylan, Derek and Mekenzie Dallmeyer; brothers and sister in laws: Billy and Lois Dallmeyer of Giddings, Tx., Marvin and Betty Dallmeyer of Round Top, Tx.; Melvin and Freida Dallmeyer of Round Top, Tx. and sister, Mary Luera of Brenham, Tx.; sisters in law and brothers in law, Rosa and Richard Blum, Betty and Tim Christ. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton. Burial will follow the service at the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Dallmeyer, Filbert Luera Jr., Shawn Hawkins, Melvin Dallmeyer Jr., Russsell Dallmeyer and Lance Dallmeyer. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton, Tx.
