Herbert "Herb" Gershon

Herbert "Herb" Gershon of Overland Park, Kansas died on May 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Herb was born on August 31, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Paseo Highschool in the ROTC program. Herb met the love of his life Vicki and were married for 60 blissful years. He completed his degree in Respiratory Therapy and became the head of the department at Jackson County Hospital. Later in life Herb found his passion in commercial real estate appraising.
Herb is survived by his daughter Stacy (Mark) Schenberg and his son Jordan Gershon. He has 4 grandchildren Alex Gershon, Brandon Schenberg, Brooke (Erik) Niethamer, and Emily (Nicholas) Quick. He was preceded in death by his wife Vicki Gershon, sister Eunice (Ben) Ruben, and brothers, Bill (Florence)Gershon, Jerald (Hortense), (Francis )Gershon and daughter in law Beth Gershon. Herb will be remembered as a humble and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed. Memorial service will be graveside at 10:00 on Monday, May 6 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6940 Troost Avenue, Kansas City Mo 64131.
