Herbert Groce Obituary
He was born February 4, 1954 in Livingston, TN to Herbert Q and Jennie (Crouch) Groce. He was a member of Moodyville Baptist Church; a farmer; a volunteer firefighter; and former owner of Moodyville Cash Store. He is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University.He was a member of Byrdstown Masonic Lodge #496.
He is proceeded in death by his parents: Herbert Q and Jennie Groce; sister: Mary Elizabeth Groce.
He is survived by his daughter: Nicole Groce Ziegler; grandchildren: Rowan, Roslyn and Knox Turney Ziegler. Also survived by other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 16, 2026 at 12:00 until the service at 2:00 PM at Moodyville Baptist Church with Dr. Joel Chappell officiating. The burial will be at Lovelady Sims Cemetery following the service.
Jerry Kinchen, Joe Groce, Jim Winningham, Michael Groce, Terry Robbins, Barry Poore and Lance Mathis will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Moodyville Baptist Church Mission Fund at moodyvillebaptist.org.
