George Harrell, Jr., affectionately known as "Bubby", was born in Ahoskie, North Carolina on July 27, 1953 to Herbert George Harrell, Sr. and Viola Britt Harrell. He transitioned from this life on September 22, 2025. A devoted father and grandfather, Bubby had an unwavering love for his family. He had four children, he was preceded in death by Kevin "Deon" Harrell and survived by his three daughters, Wanda C. Harrell, Kimberly N. Harrell and Shontese Harrell-Ford (Wayne) and three grandchildren, Tekhysha D. McKoy, Talaya D. Ford and Kevin C. Ford. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda P. Eatmon-Jones (Earle) and brother, Gerald K. Harrell. He is survived by three sisters, Jennifer J. Gatling-Sharpe (Charles), Corelette H. Smith and Patricia A. Worthy (John), as well as a host of family members and friends.
The family will receive guests at Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Maryland on Monday, September 29, 2025. The viewing will begin at 10:30 am, immediately following by the funeral services at 11:30 am. Bubby will be interred at Washington National Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.
