Herbert Schmidt Obituary
Herbert was born on born February 28, 1956, to James and Olive "Billie" Schmidt in Norwalk, California. He entered the Marines in 1973 and served in the Vietnam war, stationed in Japan. He returned home in 1977. Herbert was a truck driver for over 20 years. He will be remembered for humor, belly-shaking laugh, stubbornness, and love for pool, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known as "Pa" to a lot of people honored to know him in life.
Herbert is preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law.
Herbert is survived by his partner of 29 years, Lynn; children, Rob McKeever and Shelly (John) Gilchrist; grandchildren, DeLacey Michael, Samuel Gilchrist, Travis, Tyler, and Tate Chapman; greatgrandchildren, Jonathan and Abigail; siblings, Ginger (Asghar) Javadinajjar, Richard (Diane) Schmidt, and Lennie (Carla) Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be addressed to Herbert Schmidt's family for later distribution.
