GRAY - Herbert "Frankie" Wolfe, aged 67, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Gray, Tennessee. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on February 20, 1957, Frankie was a beacon of loving kindness and intelligence to all who knew him.
Frankie's early life in Leland, North Carolina, laid the foundation for a life of service and faith. His passion for helping others led him to earn a master's degree in psychology from East Tennessee State University. Frankie devoted his career to the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer, a role in which he proudly served his country with distinction.
A man of strong faith, Frankie was an active member of Greenvale Baptist Church, where he played guitar and uplifted the congregation with his singing. His gentle spirit and faith-filled heart made him a cherished figure within his community.
As we remember Herbert "Frankie" Wolfe, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace, leaving a legacy of love and wisdom that will endure for generations to come.

Fondly remember our family times together and wonderful times at our grandparents house in the summers. So glad we reconnected at the dinner there in Tennessee a few years ago . Love and sympathy to all the family.

Frankie was always one of the good guys. I remember he always wore a smile! My condolences to his family and friends. Sorry to lose another member of the class of 75!
