Herbert Kenneth Wright

Herbert Kenneth Wright, 90, of Simsbury, CT, and husband of the late Mrs. Julia M. Wright, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Herbert was born April 25, 1935, in Hartford, CT, son of the late Mr. William and Mrs. Lelia Bell Wright. Herbert was a faithful and dedicated employee with CT Transit and retired after 37 years of service.

Herbert leaves to celebrate his passing his daughter Kathy Wright Cates; his niece who he loved and raised as his own daughter, Terry Wright Antoine; his grandchildren, John Manning, III, Octavia Manning, and Justin Antoine; his great-grandchildren, John Manning, IV, Irianna Wallace, and Alaya Wallace; his best friend, Jeff Stewart, and a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends. And a Special thanks to the staff at the Governor's House in Simsbury, for all of their love, care and support.

Along with his parents and wife, Herbert was preceded in death by his daughter Karen T. Wright, his brother Clarence (Dicky) Wright, and his sister Dorothy (Dottie) Wright.

Herbert's family will receive family and friends on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4pm-5pm, followed by a memorial service at 5pm, at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor, CT
