Herman Ball

HERMAN BALL, 70, of the Roseann section of Grundy, VA, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Ballad Hospice House in Bristol, TN. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Henry Harman and Estha (Bailey) Ball. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and a member of the Mouthcard Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was a former business owner in HVAC, a heavy equipment operator and farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie Ball; his second wife, Geneva (McCoy) Ball; and an infant sister. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Crystol Michelle (Joseph) Jessee of Lebanon, VA, Tamera Beth (Dakota) Gibbs of Grundy, VA; Grandchildren: Grant Markum, Alex Vanover and Madison Jessee; Sisters: Trula Presley of Abingdon, VA, Beulah (Gary) Dye of Council, VA; Brother: Elmer (Reva) Ball of Council, VA; Special Friend: Phillip Justice. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. Funeral Services for HERMAN BALL were conducted Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Stiltner officiating, burial followed in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
