Mr. Herman J. King was born March 28, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of the late George and Lula King. He departed the earthly life and eternal rest on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
Herman attended South Florence High School and was a Class of 1981 graduate.
He was employed at Master Builders over 30 years. He was an excellent carpenter and cabinet finisher.
Herman was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and was also a big fan of the Boston Celtics, Duke Blue Devils, Atlanta Braves and Clemson University athlete teams.
He leaves a large and loving family who will have many cherished memories: three sons, Herman Jamaal King, Kwamaine King and Tramaine King all of Florence, South Carolina; one daughter, Kyandra King of Florence, South Carolina; three bonus children, Aprell Barr, Terell Barr and Jeremy Barr all of Florence, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Jamerion, Iverson, Jaliyah Zyion, Destini and Damauri;
two brothers, Ray King (Arlene) and Amos King; Lottie (James) King, Lo’real King and Joe ann (Donavan) Gee; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
