Herman was a kind soul, a true gentleman, a loyal public servant, and a dedicated family man. Herm and I worked together at the Glenbrook Fire Department (Group 1) prior to the fire service merger, and then while serving with the Stamford Fire Department. He will be forever missed by all who knew him and had the privilege of calling him Brother. Herm, may you memory be eternal and everlasting, and may God bless your family during this most difficult time. Rest in peace my friend, job well done !!

Lynne,
My deepest condolences on the passing of Herman. There are so many memories of him and of you together at the office parties and events. You shared a life filled with love, laughter, joy, hard work, and pride and respect for family and each other. Never wavering in your support for each other, I always admired the relationship you shared.
May you, Sam and Andrew be surrounded by not only the warm memories of Herman but by the friends and family who share in their love, laughter and respect for him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My childhood buddy. Lots of great memories fun playing baseball with Herman in Cummings Park. We were both devout New York Mets fans and Joanne´s steak and cheese wedges on Shippan Ave. Rest easy, buddy.
