In Loving Memory of Herman Pardo

Herman Pardo, born on April 18, 1944, in Chamacuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Sixto Pardo and Gregoria Ruiz, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. One of thirteen siblings, Herman carried with him a lifetime of resilience, strength, and devotion to those he loved most.

Herman is survived by his beloved wife, Maricela Pardo, with whom he built a life grounded in commitment, perseverance, and family. He leaves behind his children: Cynthia Nieto (Eddie), Patty Vasquez (Jorge), Herman Pardo Jr. (Karissa), Victoria LaTour, Adrian Pardo (Crystal), and George Pardo. He was a proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 4 great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward a part of his legacy.

Herman was a man of few words, yet his life spoke volumes. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and, to many, a quiet but steady presence. His family holds a lifetime of memories-some traditional, others uniquely his-that reflect a life lived with authenticity and deep ties to family.

As his granddaughter, Bianca LaTour, beautifully shared:

"Herman Pardo, a man of few words-husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend to some. Many of us hold memories, some even unorthodox, but we are family, nonetheless. What I struggle with most are the what-ifs and the unknown. But what I do know is that my grandfather gave my grandmother and his children companionship and all that he could. It may not have been perfect, but he did his best. A man with faults who persevered when many would have given up-that is the man I choose to remember and honor. To my grandmother, I pray for peace and healing during this difficult time, and to my aunts and uncles, I pray you remain strong for our abuelita. To Grandpa Herman, may you rest peacefully and wait for Grandma at heaven's gates. I love you all."

Herman's life was one of perseverance, dedication, and quiet strength. Though not without imperfections, he gave what he could, endured what he must, and remained present for his family in the ways he knew how. His legacy lives on through the generations he helped shape and the memories that will continue to be shared. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
