SIMMS, Herman L., 73, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2009. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving, devoted wife, Gloria D. Simms; four children, Danol, Sean, LaTangie and Bryant; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, five brothers, two sisters, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where the family will receive friends Thursday, September 17, from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, at 12 noon at Southside Baptist Ministries, 5515 Bryce Lane. Dr. Lonnie Stinson officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Online guest book at www.scottsfuneralhome.com.
