With a heavy heart and immense sadness, we report that Herminia “Minne” Gonzalez passed peacefully on February 25, 2024 with her family by her side in San Antonio, Texas. She was 71 years old. Born in Laredo, Texas on October 22, 1952 to Antonio and Ofelia Martinez, Minne was raised instilled with ineffable levels of morality, respect and humility for others and will be fondly remembered for her unconditional kindness and love for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Antonio Martinez and her brother, Ruben Martinez.
Minne is survived by her devoted mother, Ofelia Martinez, grandchildren Isabella, Samantha and Alexander, her children Cristina Thomas and Eduardo Gonzalez, their father Raul Gonzalez Jr., and her cherished siblings Chelo Herrera, Gloria Rangel, Tony Martinez and Sylvia Martinez.
A memorial service honoring Minne’s life will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Hillside Funerals & Cremations; 310 W. Hillside Road; Laredo, Texas 78041.
