Mr. Hermon Lephond Huggins, 68, of Cottageville, entered into rest Wednesday afternoon, February 25, 2026, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
Born November 10, 1957, in Mullins, South Carolina, he was a son of Mrs. Betty Lou Johnson Huggins the late Hermon L. Huggins, Sr. He was a retired longtime truck driver and had attended Chaparrall Freewill Baptist of the Pentecostal Faith Church in Moncks Corner. He will always be remembered as a jokester and for his love of hunting, fishing, and goats.
Surviving in addition to his mother are: his wife of forty-two years, Mrs. Wanda Brownlee Huggins; three children, Robbie Huggins (Valerie), Tony Huggins (Dawn), and Crystal Nettles (Corey), a brother, Edmond Huggins (Christina), two sisters, Kathy Gaskins (Gary), and Donna Dew (Carl); a brother-in-law, Bubba Marchant (Sherry); and a sister-in-law, Tootsie Sweat (Wayne). He is survived by nine grandchildren, Jamie Nettles (Lindsey), Wyatt Nettles, Jesse Huggins, Kyle Boehm, Katherine Cribb, Chuckie Cribb, Shane Huggins, Brooke Huggins, and Austin Huggins; and four great grandchildren, Hunter Boehm, Connor Boehm, Jacqueline Boehm, and Jayson Cribb; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday afternoon, March 2, 2026, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Charles Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Fox Cemetery in Round O.
