Hester L. Holloway

Hester Lynch Holloway, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on December 25, 1933, in Roxana, Delaware to the late Aron Lynch and Viola Williams Lynch.
Hester spent her remarkable career as a banker at Sussex Trust, where she was known for her dedication and deep commitment to her work. Her colleagues and clients alike admired her for her integrity and warmhearted approach, which left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A proud member of the Eastern Star and an active participant at the Roxana United Methodist Church was an important aspect of her life, guiding her in her interactions with others and fueling her desire to give back to her community. She touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her generous spirit and kind heart.
Hester is survived by her loving daughter, Tamsey Schuler and husband William and her cherished grandchildren: Sam Holloway (Jessica) and their daughter Abigail, Rebecca Holloway, Ray Levin Holloway IV (Anne) and daughter-in-law, Paula Holloway. She will be deeply missed by her family and everyone who was privileged to know her.
Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Holloway Jr. and her son, Ray L. Holloway III.
A private graveside service was held at Roxana Cemetery on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
