Higinio Garcia Obituary
Higinio Garcia, age 91, was born on November 12, 1934, in Albuquerque, NM. Passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, surrounded by his family. Higinio is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Amelia Garcia, and sister Audelina Garcia.
Higinio is survived by his sister, Dora Moya, and cousin Francela Mari.
Higinio served in the US Marines as a Lance Corporal, rifleman for 14 years. Higinio was part of the India 3/5 Company. Higinio was honorably discharged. He received the National Defense Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal with star, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, and the Purple Heart.
A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 20, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1860 Griegos Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107 With visitation at 10:00 a.m. Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow. Interment will be at San Jose De Armijo Cemetery, 2957 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. Reception will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall.
Pallbearers will be Dominic and Samantha Lopez.
