Hilda Holdway Obituary
Hilda Croxdale Holdway, age 91, of White Pine passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital. She was a devout Christian and lifelong member of First Methodist Church White Pine. She was a loving mother, Mamaw, sister, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Opal Ball Croxdale, husband, Quinton Holdway, and brother, Howard Croxdale.
Hilda is survived by her wonderful sons, Danny (Rhonda) Holdway and Barry Holdway, granddaughter, the light of her life Molly Holdway (fiancé, Colbie Coleman), devoted sister, Wanda Barlow, sister-in-laws, Melba Croxdale and Ilene Holdway, special cousin, Jerry Ward, several nieces and nephews and other family members, and many precious friends.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Jefferson Park Dandridge and White Pine, and Morristown Hamblen Hospital CCU staff for their special care. A special thanks to her beloved pastor, TJ Burdine.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Methodist Church, White Pine, with the Rev. TJ Burdine officiating. Family will receive friends between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Graveside Interment will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 11 a.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to First Methodist Church, P. O. Box 146, White Pine, Tennessee 37890.
