Hilda A. Tucker, 93, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 at Marian Manor.
She was born on May 14, 1932 to Henry and Augusta (Correia) Silva.
Over the years, she wore many hats. She worked for Reed and Barton, went on to get her Real Estate Broker's License in the early 60's and was the owner of HAT Realty, worked as a bartender manager in many places from Lakeville to New Bedford. Later in life she worked as a home health care provider, which she took great pride in.
Hilda is survived by her children, Claire Silva and her husband Bruce of Taunton, and Zak S.R. Tucker and his wife Virginia of Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was also mother of the late Thomas "Tommy" Tucker, who was there to greet her.
Hilda leaves her surviving siblings, Edward Silva of Stoughton, Irene Stein and her partner Chris of Quincy, Louise Bennett and her husband John, and Albert Silva. She was also sister of the late Henry Silva and his wife Helen, Fernanda "Fannie" Ambrosio and her husband William, Mary Ann "Anna" Gilmore and her husband Joseph, and Joseph Silva.
She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the loves of her life, as well as several nieces and nephews, and her cherished life-long friend Dorothy Mills and her family, of Raynham, MA.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Marian Manor for the years of care given to Hilda, and also to Compassionate Care Hospice of Bridgewater for their support and care.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday August 2nd, 2025 at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, where her funeral service will take place at 1pm.
