My belated condolences to all. I knew Mrs. Skelley only from seeing her at the hospital gift shop. I am remembering, though, that she lived at, I think, 804 Chestnut. (My mother kept house for Luman and Stella Leonard for several years there in the late 1930's and into the 40s and I loved hanging out there before Stella passed when I was a little kid.) A great place to raise a large family if I have the right place in mind.

I worked with Wendall at Cyclops Steel. He was in the Accounting Department and I was a Lab Technician. One late evening after working hours someone made a bet that he could not walk on his hands. Wendall got down and walked the length of the room on his hands. My sympathy to Hilde's family. A kind loving lady. Remember the good days.

Our thoughts and prayers to all the Skelley family during this time of your great loss. What a great Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother this fine lady was. May the Good Lord hold her tenderly in His arms and give her Eternal Rest. The wonderful memories you have will last in your hearts forever.

To her loving family my prayers are with each of you..I had the great honor of working with your Mother while she worked at the County Auditors office...She was the best...I have fond memories of her one in particular she brought in a huge pot of split green pea soup for lunch one day when we had to work on a saturday for everyone...First time I ever had it and never forgot it...She not only was a great cook but was a kind and wonderful person...Rest in Peace Hilde Skelley...You will be missed...Barb Ravotti

I would come to the hospital often and to the gift shop where I met your beautiful mother. She was such a treat to talk to. She made a beautiful set of booties for my grand baby. Hilde's kind smile and gentle voice was only matched by her joyful attitude toward people. She knew no stranger because she made them a friend. Rest is peace, sweet Hilde.

Your mother was a kind and lovely person. I was blessed to work with your dad when AK was known as Cyclops Specialty Steel. I have loving memories of both of them. May God bless your family with His peace knowing Hilde and Wendell are together now. In loving memory.
