Hildreth Eriks Obituary
Born June 7, 1931, in Highland, she was the daughter of Ives and Carolyn Corine (Milligan) Short. She married Bernard M. Eriks, Sr. on October 25, 1947 and he preceded her in death January 20, 1996.
Hildreth was a homemaker and member of Huron Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and working outside.
Survivors include her children, Juanita (Larry) Tyron of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Lora Hoffman of Huron, Jeffrey (Joy) Eriks of Topeka, Kansas, Thomas (Debbie) Eriks of Brooke, and Tana (Andy) Browning of Washburn, Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and brother, James Alexander of Florida.
Her parents; husband; son, Bernard M. Eriks, Jr.; grandchildren, Thomas Eriks, Jr. and Carol Hoffman; sisters, Martha Short and Carol Winkler; and son-in-law, Robert Hoffman, Sr., preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10 in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor William "Skip" Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in Huron Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral Home.
