Hipolito Corbacho Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Riggs Funeral Home, LLC. - Forked River on Mar. 27, 2025.
Hipolito Paul Corbacho, Jr., age 91, of Forked River, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 23, after a long illness.
Paul was born and raised in Newark and later moved with his family to Irvington. After his marriage in 1956 to the former Rose Catena, he and his wife lived in Irvington and raised their three daughters there until 1969. The family moved to Green Brook in 1969, and their daughters attended Green Brook schools and graduated from Green Brook High School. In later years Paul and Rose retired to homes in Forked River and Fort Myers, Florida. His beloved wife of 66 years, Rose Corbacho, died in August 2022, leaving him heartbroken.
He is survived by his three daughters and their husbands: Rosanne and Robert Baxter of Somerville, Kathy and David Paltjon of Green Brook, and Linda and Santo Trapani of Forked River. Paul is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. His eldest grandchild, Matthew Paltjon, died in 2004. His parents, Hipolito and Celia Corbacho, and his brother, Joseph Corbacho, predeceased him.
Paul apprenticed as a mold maker for plastic injection molds, and he spent his long career in and around that industry. He worked for toy companies-and delighted the kids in the neighborhood when he brought home toys to be shared. He later founded and operated plastic injection manufacturing companies and worked as a designer and consultant in that industry. In his later years he specialized in the design of products for the pharmaceutical industry.
Paul was an avid sportsman who loved boating, fishing, and hunting. He will be sorely missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his many nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Route 9, Forked River, NJ 08731, with a repast following.
