Penny was born on November 9, 1944, in Berks County, PA, the daughter to the late Minerva (Baus) Becker and Elder Bowers, and sibling to: Larry Bowers, and Karen Cooper.
Her entrepreneurial drive, and a desire to be a small business owner, afforded her many opportunities to engage with the community. Highlights include: AKC Dog Breeder, Ceramic Shop Owner, Flower Shop Owner, Amish Cookbook Publisher, and Independent Driver for Amish School Teachers.
Penny enjoyed spending time with her children: David Bowers Klugh; Doug Klugh; Dean DeWald; Jeanene (DeWald) Olenick; and Scott DeWald. She delighted in her family growing to include grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Bowers, and her son, David Bowers Klugh.
A private memorial service and internment is planned.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011
