Holly L. Green, 70, of Tunkhannock passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Tunkhannock Rehabilitation & Health Care Center surrounded by loved ones from near and far. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William Green.
Born on October 4, 1954, in Wilkes-Barre, she is the daughter of the late Howard and June (Parish) Sherwood.
She was a 1973 graduate of Elk Lake High School. Holly had a deep love for spending time with her family, and dear friends, treasuring every moment shared together. Her fondest memories included joyful picnics and parties, where laughter and love filled the air. Her kindness and loving spirit were enjoyed and shared with so many. Holly also enjoyed road trips, creating lasting memories as she explored new places alongside her loved ones, as long as she wasn't the one driving, because if she was you never knew where you'd end up.
Holly was deeply involved in her community and took great pride in her membership at the Russell Hill United Methodist Church.
Holly was well known for her many years at Ames Department Store and Tyler Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Rebecca Dymond and husband David; stepchildren, Connie Charles and husband Timothy, William Green, Jr. and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Tylor Woodie, Zoe Keller, Kacey Green, Dustin Green, Skylar Green; great-grandson, Waylon Woodie; sister, Lisa Traver; brothers, Alan Sherwood and wife Michelle, Randy Sherwood, Jeff Sherwood, and long-time best friend Renie Woodruff. Holly also leaves behind many bonus sisters, brothers, and kids. And, of course her kitties Goldie and Ginger.
Family and friends are invited to attend Holly's funeral services which will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM from the Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Rev. Gary Myers presiding. Interment will be held in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Tunkhannock Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, and the staff at the Medical Oncology Associates of Kingston for their care of Holly.
