Holly Johnson Triplett

Holly Sue Johnson Triplett, known by her grandchildren as "Grandmama," went home to be with her Savior and reunite with her husband on March 26th, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ray Triplett; her parents, Avery and Mae Johnson; and her grandson Anthony Walker-Triplett.

Her life was marked by her love and devotion to Christ that overflowed to her family. She was the definition of a dedicated mother and wife. She was an unwavering presence of support and encouragement. She was the proudest smile and loudest cheer at any event or competition for her children and grandchildren. Anyone who was loved by her would have been challenged to chase their full potential, and she never would let them doubt their capability in Christ. And of course, no one would ever walk out of her home without a snack in hand and "a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck." Her poise and devotion to excellence raised up two generations of Christ-followers after her that know what it means to love selflessly. The prayers she prayed over them are being lived out and fulfilled today. And even as Alzheimer's slowly stole her away from her family, the effects of her love never diminished. Together with her husband Ray, they built a marriage and a home that stood the test of time. Their love replicated the love of Christ and the Church, as John 13:34 says "Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this, all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." And they did just that. They are now reunited in heaven, no doubt singing old Gaither gospel music face to face with their Savior.

Holly is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Grace Triplett of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Matt Baughman of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Jim Ledoux; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Carol Johnson; grandchildren, Riley, Carter, Molly, Abigail, and Nolan Triplett, Ella, Savannah, Grace, Jaymes, Kole, and Ian Walker; great-grandchild, Luca Owens; nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. https://donorservices.alz.org/
