A memorial service will be held at the family home on September 27, 2025 between 2:00-5:00 pm
Mr. Cumberland died peaceably in his sleep on September 23, 2025 at his home.
He was a native of Neshoba County, Homer worked as a Inspector for Industrial Gunite and Refactory Testing and Inspection for over 40 years until he retired in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lois Cumberland of Florence; daughter, Priscilla (Al) Santos of Kenosha WI; sons, Jimmy (Elizabeth) Cumberland of Dayton TX and Ryan (Kimberly) Morgan of Pearl MS; grandchildren, Terri George, Michael Hoag, Chelsea Gall, Christa Cumberland, Brady Cumberland, Cameron Morgan, Landon Morgan, Aleah Morgan and Mia Morgan; great grandchildren, Nadia, Lucas, Bella, Bentley, Grace, Lylah and Gunner; sisters, Betty Burnham of Pelahatchie; brothers, Prentiss (Linda) Cumberland of Bolton, MS, Eddie Cumberland, Sr. of Sulphur LA and Bobby (Mignon) Cumberland of Richland MS and a host of nieces and nephews,
