Homer Hogues

We express our sympathies to Hogues family, many, many friends and colleagues for your beloved father Mr. Tom Hornbein. Mr. Homer Hogues was one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, the decorated group of Black pilots who fought for the United States even as they faced discrimination. He served in World War II and worked as an airplane mechanic for the 99th Fighter Squadron. There is no greater pain than that of losing someone you love, especially when it is unexpected. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together. Our prayers are with all his loved ones that is mourning him. May the God of all comfort who is the hearer of prayers be with you in your time of need with his loving kindness and peace as He strengthens you to cope during this difficult time. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with family, friends and extended family cherish his memories.

What a legacy, his hard work and dedication was truly an asset to the Tuskegee Airman. Sincere condolences to the Hogues family, may God be with you all as you endure your time of loss.

Thank you for your service, Staff Sergeant Homer Hogues. Rest in Power as your legacy lives on.

I did not know Homer personally, but knew of him and the Tuskegee Airmen through documentaries throughout the years, etc. My husband and I revere these men who risked so much for their country. Our sincere thanks to Homer who gave so much, and condolences to his surviving family and friends.

Mr. HOGUES, our entire country owes you and all the Tuskegee Airmen a great deal of gratitude for the job done during WWII; in spite of the Racism you faced. Thank you for your service, for keeping those planes flight-ready. Now, your spirit flies again with a freedom unencumbered by a physical body. Soar Mr. HOGUES, and enjoy your new realm and where it takes you. Peace.
