Homero R. Silva

Homero Rodriguez Silva, age 87, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Homero was born on February 26, 1938, and lived a long, full life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. For 38 years, he worked as an insurance salesman, a career in which he built lasting relationships and earned the trust of countless families. He retired in 2008 at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and integrity.
Homero was a simple, kind-hearted man who loved to tinker and fix things, always finding joy in creating and improving. He had a love for music and dancing, filling his home with laughter, rhythm, and the warmth of shared moments. Above all, he cherished his family and his faith in the Lord, which guided him throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Maria E. Silva; his daughters, Deborah Salas and Priscilla Garza-Salas; his son-in-law, Abel Garza; and his cherished grandchildren, Michael and Alexis Salas.
A special thanks is extended to the loved ones who were present during Homero's final days, offering comfort, care, and companionship.
Homero will be remembered for his charisma, quiet strength, and the heartfelt love he shared with all who knew him. His faithful, strong, and joyful spirit touched many lives, and he will be deeply and greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing him.
