Buddy was predeceased by his father Horace J., his mother Frances, and his stepson Carl J. Conaway Jr. He was survived by his wife Roberta May Oat, Stepchildren: Tammi L. Sartin (Mike), Michael J. Conaway (Lorena), Michelle B. Cox (Carlisle), six grandchildren: Heather, Patrick, Bobby, Kristen, Shayleigh, and Carlisle V, and one great grandchild: Elle.
He will be laid to rest in the Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave. Bushnell, FL 33513 on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2pm.

I remember sitting in on Buddy and Jim Wisner conversations in the hallway at Hillside Community Baptist Church. Those two would have some hum-dinger conversations. Buddy was always quick with his wit. I have no doubt where he is now. Rest in peace Sir.
