Howard W. Abhold, age 59, of Weyauwega, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Weyauwega on January 24, 1965, son of Charles H. Abhold and Marie Button. Howie graduated from Waupaca High School. He worked at Steel King in New London, Waupaca Foundry and other miscellaneous jobs. Howie enjoyed "anything to do with an engine", his Harley, throwing "shoes", playing cribbage, fishing, going on vacations, hanging out with friends, family, and his dogs: Luke, Bruno and Jinx. Howie gave the best hugs and was a kind, sweet, and caring man.
He is survived by his wife Lisa; children: Cody (Sami) Abhold, Brook Abhold, Sydney (Devin) Abhold-Loughrin, Nikki Jo Stephens; grandsons: Dante Stephens and Jackson Gutoski; mother: Marie Button; siblings: Harriet M. Robbins (Craig), nieces and nephews: Josh, Hannah, Caity; great nephews: Brett, Braeden, Anthony, Noah and Mathias; Charles Abhold Jr., nephew and nieces: Anthony Abhold and Natasha (Kevin) Elliott, Elsie Abhold; Chris (Shannon) Abhold), niece: Autumn; Josh Abhold (special friend, Denise), nephew and niece: Matt and Lizzy, great nephew: Parker; Betty (Kenny) Deebs, nieces: Sophia and Vivian; Lee Michael (Angela) Newsome, nephew and niece: Hayden and Hannah; Keith (Mary Jo) Forseth, nephews: Jordan and Jared; Karl Emerson, nephew: Derek; sister-in-law: Patti (Chuck) VanderLoop.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles H. Abhold; niece: Danielle Rogan; step father Garry Button and father-in-law: Garry A. Schmidt.
A Celebration of Life for Howie will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.
