Howard Edward Bensel

Howard E. Bensel went to his reward promised him by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bunky was born in Brodbecks, Pennsylvania to William and Louise Bensel. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis Ness Bensel; sister, Lillian Heusner; sister, Mary Fissel; and brother, William Bensel Jr. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly Ann Missell Bensel, six sons, one daughter and 12 grandchildren. Beverly resides in Sun City; son, Howard Bensel II of Wallingford, Pennsylvania; son, Gregory Bensel of Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania; son, Bryan Bensel of York, Pennsylvania; daughter, Angela of San Antonio, Texas; son, William of York, Pennsylvania; son, Anthony Bensel of High Point, North Carolina; son, Dennis Bensel of Eagle River, Alaska; brother, James Bensel; and sister, Connie Wise of Pennsylvania. Bunky graduated from Codorus Twp. High School, class of 1950. Entered the United States Air Force and served at the following bases: Sampson Air Force Base in New York, Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming, Nouasseur Air Force Base in Casablanca in French Moracco, North Africa. Bunky and Beverly were married February 1966. They lived in Glen Rock and York , Pennsylvania where he worked for AMP. Inc. for 39 years as material Supervisor. They moved to Corpus Christi in 1990, then to Sun City, Georgetown in 1996.
