One last note: my dream about Howard occurred before I knew that he had passed away, but after his passing. It has caused much reflection on my part: live each day to its fullest, as we never have tomorrow.

I actually had a dream about Howard the other night. I believe he must have come to say goodbye. I'm serious. Rest in peace, my friend. John

Howard was a good friend, and I will miss him very much. I first met Howard and Phung in March 1979 at a Maryland coin show where they gave me a copy of his first book on Vietnamese coins. I am so sorry that I just learned of his passing. Phung, my condolences to you.

I met Howard online, we corresponded often. I met him in person at a coin show in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the most advanced and knowledgeable collector I've known. Also a gentleman and friendly. Howard was a true patriot. As many others, I am saddened by Howard's passing, but also glad he no longer suffers. Rest In Peace my friend.
