Howard Erik Holm

Howard Erik Holm, 92 of Monticello, our beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather lovingly
known as (Pawpaw), passed away on May 19, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He married his loving wife Jane Marie (Demott) Holm on May 24, 1959, with whom he shared 65 wonderful years.
He was born on May 8, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois to Carl Emanuel Holm and Marie Cecelia
Johnson. He served on the USS Hancock in the US Navy. He attended Florida State University
and retired from the State of Florida as the Supervisor of the Print Shop and Purchasing Office.
He enjoyed refurbishing Volkswagen cars. He loved working with wood craft and built many
projects and specialized in FSU fold up tables. He also loved working in his yard with plants
and flowers. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and also attended Southside
Baptist Church.
He is survived by his four children, Janet Forester (Tracy) of Crawfordville, Florida, Michael
Howard Holm (Jenny) of Monticello, Florida, George Carl Holm (Kari) of Monticello, Florida,
and Suzanne Kelly (Travis) of Panacea, Florida; twelve grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Carl Holm (100) and sister, Marion Moseley (98).
He is preceded in death by his loving wife and parents.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Monticello, Florida. The visitation will be from 4:00pm until the service. The burial will take place immediately following the service at Elizabeth Cemetery in Monticello.
