My sympathy and condolences to all of you at this very sorrowful time. I am honored and blessed that I got to meet and spend all the time I did with your father and grandfather this past year. Rest in peace my buddy. I will never forget our time together.

Hod and spent many pleasant hours sharing stories with me of his life with family and friends. My life changed for the better having spent time with him. My prayers for all those touched by his life and feel the lose as I do. Peace be with you.

My children loved seeing the colonel coming down to activities at otter lake. It was an honor knowing him.

Dear Lynda, Fred and all the family,
We are so sorry for your tremendous loss and we are so sorry we can't be at the viewing or service but our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. Your father was a wonderful example of a true hero. God's blessings and comfort to all of you during this difficult time and always.

Betty Metz (Housel) passed away in mid-June. Our Greatest Generation is rapidly slipping away. We who remain shall revere them in our memories. But just as important is to pass their greatness in the face of adversity to the generations following so their candle will always burn brightly.
