Howard Delain Killian

Mr. Howard Delain Killian, age 85, resident of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Christian Care Center in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born on May 7, 1940, in Dierks, Arkansas. He was a member of Eylau Community Church and was a Mason. He worked as an industrial engineer at AT&T. He enjoyed genealogy and going on vacations with his family, especially trips to the beach. He loved his farm in Dierks and his dog Bella.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie W. and Zelmaree Harberson Killian; his aunt, Velma Harberson; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy Gillespie and Jim Gillespie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold Axton and Mary Axton.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Melba Killian; one son, Steve Killian (Cathy) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one daughter, Stephanie Francis (Mitch) of Texarkana, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Nick Francis (Jennifer) of Joshua, Texas, Katie Killian of Springfield, Missouri, Tom Killian (Pepe) of New Jersey, Zak Killian (Jasmine) of Centerton, Arkansas, Hannah Kemp (Kelly) of Seminole, Oklahoma, Matt Francis (Maddie) of Arlington, Texas, and four great-grandchildren, with one on the way; brother-in-law, Carroll Axton (Sara) of Georgetown, Texas and one niece, Brittany Nugent (Seth) of Texarkana, Texas.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Howard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Dierks Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Herrington officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
