Howard Sprague Obituary
W. Howard Sprague, 101, passed away on December 31, 2023. He was predeceased by Josie his wife of 77 years; his parents, Lena and Harry; siblings, Dave and Clara and great-grandson Sage. He is survived by his children, Rick and Bea; grandchildren, Billy, Billie, Dan; great- grandchildren, Viiolet, Ash, River, Skye and Bodhi; adopted children, Don, Alice and Irene. The family will receive friends at the center Lisle Congregational Church Saturday 1/13/2024 from 1pm until service time at 2pm. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to the Center Lisle Congregational Church 9670 Rt. 79 Lisle, NY 13797. A huge Thank You to the Staff at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford for the kindness, care and love that they gave to Howard & Josie.

Howard was our Boy Scout Master, encouraged many of us to do the best we could. I received my Eagle during that time and learned so many things from the experience. I kept up with Howard, after going in the Navy, I remembered all of the knots he had taught us and so many of the survival skills from our almost 6 years of year-round camping. Truly an exception person and a great one to be around! Our prayers to Rick and Bea and the rest of their family.
