Howard Lewis Webb

A life well lived!! I met Peggy and Howard at First Baptist Church in 1988. As a new Christian, they came alongside and we became close. Howard encouraged me in areas of ministry, and my fondest memories of him are when I ushered the Atlanta Passion Play for several years under his leadership. He was a great leader, a Godly man, and a wonderful husband to Peggy. They invited us to their home and I remember Howard making my mom and I the best grilled cheese we ever tasted. We lunched often together after church and enjoyed every minute. Now he is rejoicing with the Lord, and has left his mantle behind for his children, grands and great grands!

So sad to hear of Mr. Howards passing...He will be missed. We know He is rejoicing in Heaven. Mr. Howard and Ms. Peggy were such a blessing to my son and I at FBA. A joy to serve with them at the passion play and other events at FBA.. it's a Blessing and Honor to know them. May you feel God's loving arms holding you close to HIS Heart as you grieve. Howard and Peggy were instrumental in encouraging us in our journey to becoming Christians. Howard invited us to come to the Passion Play by AFB that they produced every spring and gave us free tickets for our first show. We loved it and came back every year afterward until they stopped producing it. It was such a meaningful part of our lives - seeing Jesus "live" on the stage helped us grasp the magnitude of his sacrifice for us.

Howard was a great influence on my life and all the employees at Mark C Pope Associates. He built the service department and made it the best in the business. He did this while always being true a believer and a great example to everyone.

Howard was a dear friend. We would do lunch or brunch two or three times a year and I would visit with him each Sunday at FBA. Met him at the Widow Widowers luncheon two months after my husband died suddenly. I began to cry and he got up from the table put his arms around me and cried, too. He had been a widower two years at that time and he always said he had a 57 (?) year honeymoon and I believe him. Such a wonderful man! Will miss him greatly! Connie Duis
