Howell "Rusty" Mills Waldrup II, age 65, a resident of Nesbit, MS, passed away on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025.
Rusty was born in Memphis, TN but grew up in Hernando, MS and attended Hernando High School. He was married to Micah Smith Waldrup and worked in a variety of environmental businesses throughout his life.
From the very beginning of his career, Rusty was a driven man with a reputation for solving problems and getting results. This mentality served Rusty well over the years, providing a well-versed resume for himself and always striving to provide a secure future for his family.
Rusty received many awards and accolades throughout his professional career, but his greatest rewards were his children. Rusty worked hard to provide a good life for them. He loved his family with all his heart.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Micah Smith Waldrup; his children, Eric Waldrup, Alex (Katie) Waldrup, Mills Waldrup, Elle Abell (Preston), Ashley Joyner and Hailey (Jeremy) Black; his brother John (Julie) Kaiser; his sister Tonya (Mike) Goolsby; his brother Matthew Waldrup; his mother Lynda Kaiser; his grandchildren Ethan Benson, Micah Benson, Logan Black, Ella Black, Chaz Joyner, Jude Black, Preslie Waldrup and Emma Waldrup; his nephews Jackson Kaiser, Jake Barkley, Kyle Barkley, and Andrew Briggs; and his niece Grayson Briggs.
Rusty was preceded in death by his sister Angela Briggs and his father Howell Mills Waldrup, Sr.
Please join us in celebrating Rusty's life on Saturday, March 8th at Hernando Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 am – 11 am, and the Celebration of Life will begin at 11 am.
