Hoy Bilyeu Obituary

Hoy was born on August 10, 1933, in Checotah, OK, son of the late Toness and Bessie (Miller) Bilyeu. Hoy served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a real estate broker for United Farm Realty in Monett along with his wife for many years. He was a member of the New Site Baptist Church in Monett. Hoy and Wanda remodeled homes in the community enjoying the companionship of one another. His passion was raising cattle and enjoying farm life.
On March 25, 1952, in Oildale, CA, Hoy Lee Bilyeu and Wanda Jean Huie were united in marriage enjoying almost seventy-three years of good memories together before her passing earlier this year.
Hoy is survived by one son, Rodger Bilyeu and wife Karen of Purdy, MO; one grandson, Michael Lee Bilyeu and his mother, Susan Barton and stepfather, Rick of Monett; one brother, Dave Bilyeu and wife Linda of Bakersfield, CA; one sister, Darlene Patterson of Bakersfield, CA and a host of extended family and friends.
Hoy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Wanda; and son, Mitchell Bilyeu
A private interment will be in the Oakdale Cemetery, Monett. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to New Site Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, Missouri.
