I first met Hoyt when we were in a tour group to Israel. He was an encourager to me as a young pastor. We await God's commendation, but I say, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" God's promised comfort to all who mourn.

Hoyt and I were in the Northwest District together from 1988~2008. I enjoyed getting to know him and I loved his sense of humor which he shared on all our district retreats. He was a good colleague and a great pastor.
