OSCEOLA - Hugh Lynn "Trey" Adams III, 39, of Osceola passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at his home. Born in Osceola, Trey was a 2001 graduate of East Poinsett County High School in Lepanto and had attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
He later received an associate degree in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning from Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville and had been an HVAC technician for D and L HVACR, Inc. of Blytheville.
He was a longtime member of Little River Church of Christ, enjoyed spending time with his family, and was an accomplished musician, especially playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife of six years, Sterling Brown Adams of the home; a son, Lynn Adams of the home; a stepson, Bradey Woodall of Manila; a stepdaughter, Kennedy Baker of Manila; his father, Hugh Adams Jr. and mother, Donna Bryan Adams, both of Osceola; two brothers, Bryan Adams and Quinton Adams, both of Osceola; his maternal grandmother, Norma Anderson of Osceola; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Sharon Murphy of Manila.
He also leaves three grandchildren, Kolsen Woodall, Grayson Woodall and Josie Baker, and a nephew, Maverick Adams.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Little River Church of Christ, Arkansas 77, Osceola, near Athelstan, with Gary Buck and Roger Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery at Lepanto under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Terry Northcutt, Michael Chipman, Quinton Adams, Bryan Adams, Hugh Lynn Adams and Bradey Woodall.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joe Chipman, Luke Baker, Billy Morgan Jr., Randy Bryan, Dale Murphy, Shane Bryan, Hayward Burton and Reggie Richmond.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 this evening, Feb. 3, at the church.
